Letting Process
When you are looking for a property to rent, you will find The Property Group easy to deal with and very knowledgeable about the lettings process. We try and make moving home easy and un-stressful. Please read our quick guide to the lettings process.
Register
You can register your property requirements via this website, over the phone, or in person by visiting the office. Once you have signed up you will receive alerts via email or text messages with suitable properties that match your requirements.
Property search
Select the properties that you are interested in viewing by using this website. We recommend that you view properties as soon as possible. Popular properties can sometimes let out in days or even hours. We accompany every viewing.
Reserve the property
Once you have viewed a property and it is suitable you will need to reserve it. This is done by completing a short application form and paying a small holding deposit and the application fee. Once this is done the property is taken off the market and we commence referencing.
Referencing
Referencing takes between 2 to 5 days to perform. Your employment, residential and credit status will be confirmed. We will also need to take some suitable ID from you.
Tenancy paperwork
Once the referencing is complete and satisfactory, we will be able to draw up the Tenancy paperwork. Before you can move in we will require the first month's rent and deposit, in cash, bankers draft or paid via internet banking. The monthly rent is then payable via Direct Debit.
Move in
On your move in day we will meet you at the property and talk through the Inventory which you must sign. We will also take a note of all the utility readings and the suppliers will be notified along with the council tax office.
